                                  Why Buy a Shredder?

                                  A professional paper shredder is a very useful accessory in the workplace. There are always documents that need to be renewed or that we need to get rid of, but if we throw them away without shredding them, they take up more space and the security of the information can be compromised. Our paper shredders will reduce them to a minimum, bringing all the security to your document destruction. 

                                  Types of shredders

                                  Although there are many classification parameters, the type of cut is the one most commonly used in practice. This is the main purpose for which these products are purchased. It is therefore of great importance to find out how they are going to cut, in order to choose the one that best suits your circumstances.

                                  Strip paper shredder

                                  This professional paper shredder is a very useful device for shredding non-confidential documents. It shreds paper vertically, leaving elongated strips that can be read with a not too close examination. It is therefore characterised by the low level of privacy it offers, and is only recommended for shredding non-sensitive documents.

                                  On the other hand, it only performs the cutting function vertically. It is capable of producing 39 strips per shredded document, provided that the document is A4 size. Its standard security level is DIN P-1 or DIN P-2.

                                  Cross-cut shredder

                                  A cross-cut shredder is recommended for shredding confidential documents. It shreds diagonally from its corners. It leaves behind short particles that are almost unreadable.

                                  It offers a medium level of security, usually DIN P-3 or DIN P-4. The pieces of paper it shreds are considerably narrow. Specifically, starting from an A4 sheet, it produces around 400 particles per shredded document.

                                  Micro-cutting paper shredder

                                  A micro-cut shredder is the best paper shredder for shredding secret files. The particles that remain after shredding are square and virtually unreadable.

                                  Its privacy standard is therefore high. That is, in the international standard, DIN P-5 or higher. It produces by far the highest number of particles per shredded document.

                                  As you can see, there are many different types of shredders available. If you are going to work at home, it is not necessary to choose the micro-cutter model. The other two can do the job perfectly well. And they can always be more convenient, as they leave less particles behind. This may not be a problem in an office or advanced workplace, where there are sophisticated dustbins. But with homemade ones, it's always better not to take any risks and go for models that leave little mess - get the paper shredder that best suits your needs!
